On December 3, the multi-functional offshore vessel independently developed by COOEC was started to be constructed in Qidong, Jiangsu. After completion, the vessel will provide important equipment support for COOEC's deepwater operations.
The multi-functional offshore vessel has a total length of 126 meters, a molded breadth of 28 meters, a deck area of about 2,000 square meters, a cargo capacity of about 4,000 tons, a self-supportability of 60 days and an endurance of 15,000 nautical miles, being equipped with a 400-ton offshore crane, an electric propulsion system and a DP2 dynamic positioning system, which can realize autonomous navigation in open water, assisted berthing and unberthing, vessel energy efficiency monitoring and fault diagnosis. The vessel can carry 3,000 tons of cable reel, engineering ROV (underwater vehicle), saturation diving device and underwater trenching machine and other equipment with comprehensive offshore operation capabilities such as underwater pipeline, cable and structure installation, seabed investigation and transportation support. The total investment of the vessel is about RMB 496 million.
At present, COOEC has built a specialized offshore operation fleet with 6 categories of 19 offshore vessels, including China's first 3,000-meter deepwater pipeline laying crane vessel "Haiyang Shiyou 201", China's largest offshore oil and gas crane vessel "Blue Whale 7500", Asia's largest offshore barge "Haiyang Shiyou 229" and China's first deepwater multi-functional offshore vessel "Haiyang Shiyou 286". COOEC boosts a leadership in offshore installation and pipeline laying in Asia.
